The design brief was a short summary of the idea you have for your design. You would introduce your idea, who you're designing it for, and why it is important to design a product that will solve this solution. The design spec was more specific to your idea. You had to answer and think about the specific aspects of your product such as aesthetic and safety requirements, function, properties and size constraints. This is where you really start to go into detail about your design. These two steps are really important so that we have a clear view of what our original intents for our idea was later on in this semester.
